The evening opens with Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, performed by three extraordinary soloists—violinist Gary Levinson, pianist Baya Kakouberi, and cellist Julian Schwarz. The program continues with music held especially close to his heart: the vibrant suite from The Three-Cornered Hat by Spanish composer Manuel de Falla, a work learned years ago under the guidance of the late Eduardo Mata, former Music Director of the Dallas Symphony. The celebration concludes with one of the most beloved works in Mexican symphonic music, J.P. Moncayo’s exhilarating Huapango. From first note to last, this concert promises a joyful and unforgettable musical fiesta.
