The ArtCentre of Plano is proud to announce that Texas Sculpts IV, one of the largest sculpture exhibitions in North Texas, will run from July 12, 2025 – August 30, 2025. The fourth annual event brings together 13 sculptors from throughout Texas whose works represent a wide variety of mediums and expression. The exhibition will be held in the galleries and Haggard Park gardens at the Saigling House, home of the ArtCentre of Plano located at 902 E. 16th St., Plano.

Born from the bold vision of the ArtCentre of Plano’s Board of Directors, a dedicated committee launched Texas Sculpts in 2021 with the goal of creating a dynamic sculpture exhibition that could grow into a major cultural event. The inaugural show featured eight sculptors in an indoor exhibition, attracting enthusiastic crowds and establishing Texas Sculpts as a must-see arts experience.

The thirteen sculptors included in the 2025 exhibition have been selected by a panel of jurists including Suzy Jones, Executive Director of the ArtCentre of Plano, Amy Darrow, Chair of Texas Sculpts IV exhibition, Lupita Murillo-Tinnen, Dean of Academic Affairs and Workforce at Collin College, and Carole Greisdorf, Marketing Consultant for the ArtCentre of Plano.

Suzy Jones, Executive Director of the ArtCentre of Plano, said, “The artists selected for the 2025 exhibition represent some of the most talented and creative sculptors in the North Texas region. We are extremely proud to bring them to Plano and share their works with the community.”

Texas Sculpts IV will welcome artists from across North Texas as well as an international sculptor from as far away as Zimbabwe. The selected artists include the following:

Cody Arnall, Lubbock
Melissa Auberty, Dallas
Ellis Barber, Waco
Robbie Barber, Waco
Melissa Drumm, Dallas
Howard Greisdorf, Plano
Aron Kapembeza, Dallas and Zimbabwe
Stephen Lee, Dallas
Carmen Menza, Dallas
Fari Rahimi, Denton
Larry Solomon, Plano

The works in the exhibition represent a wide diversity of mediums including wood, alabaster, light blocks, bronze, found objects, steel and other metals. Amy Darrow, founding Chair of Texas Sculpts, said, “We are delighted by the response to our Request for Proposals. The selection process was very difficult and I believe that the jurists have chosen an outstanding group of artists for this summer’s exhibition. We encourage everyone to visit the ArtCentre to enjoy these beautiful works.”

The exhibition’s public opening reception will be held on July 12 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the ArtCentre of Plano.
The artists will also participate in several Lunch and Learn conversations during the run of the exhibition.
