About NTPA Therapeutic Accessible Theatre: NTPA Starcatchers is a therapeutic theater program for children and adults with a variety of developmental, cognitive, emotional, and physical disabilities. In this program, students are given opportunities to shine through drama, music, dance, and visual art. These opportunities range from large theatre productions to art classes and include people of all ages. The Starcatchers believe that the future of the performing arts is accessible to all.
Not only can a student’s involvement in the arts strongly impact multiple areas of their life, but it can also have an impact on the community. What makes the Starcatchers program unique is not just the work with children and adults with disabilities, but its relational approach to the work.
Performance Partners support our actors in specific areas, such as learning lines, learning stage cues, prompting during performances, facilitating small group activities, and other support needs as specified on an individual basis. Through this partnership, Starcatchers students are able to advocate for themselves and their needs and build connections with their community.

Synopsis
This program is adapted and performed by youth and adults with various disabilities.
The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren’t the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that “Anything can happen if you let it.”
