You are cordially invited to join a special tribute honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. POWER LEADERSHIP BREAKFAST

Collin College - PLANO CAMPUS-
Living Legends Conference Center
2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, TX 75074

----------------------------------------------------------

This year’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Power Leadership Breakfast will honor the legacy of the beloved civil rights leader with fellowship and celebration beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, in Collin College’s Plano Campus Living Legends Conference Center. This annual commemoration of Dr. King’s life and work is free and open to the public.

This year’s Power Leadership Breakfast theme is “Connecting Hearts. Inspiring Change.” and focuses on the ways that society can come together to make the world a better place. The breakfast will include presentations and student performances sharing Dr. King’s message, as well as a panel discussion on mental health by local leaders.

“Dr. King believed in the power of communities coming together for the greater good, and we are excited to be a part of that effort with the Power Leadership Breakfast,” said Dr. Millie Wormley Black, event co-chair. “Anyone and everyone with a heart for change should come out to celebrate Dr. King’s message of unity in the struggle for a more just and equitable world.”

While attendees are not required to RSVP, the organizing committee requests that anyone inclined to do so register through the following link: https://tinyurl.com/CCMLK2025. Organizers expect a large turnout, so attendees should plan to arrive early if possible.

“This annual celebration of Dr. King is always an exceptional opportunity to come together as a community,” said Dr. Neil Matkin, president of Collin College. “The leadership breakfast serves as a reminder of the good work people can do when we have a common purpose.”

A business and information expo will take place immediately following the Power Leadership Breakfast in the foyer of the Plano Campus Living Legends Conference Center. The public is invited to visit with local vendors and nonprofit organizations. The Plano Campus is located at 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway.
