DESCRIPTION:The two-time GRAMMY®-nominated ensemble was named one of the g
 reatest string quartets of the last 100 years by BBC Music Magazine. The p
 rogram includes works by Schumann\, Mendelssohn and Bacewicz\, along with 
 a pre-concert conversation with the musicians.\n\nThe event will include a
 n interactive pre-concert conversation with the musicians\, followed by a 
 performance featuring works by Robert Schumann\, Felix Mendelssohn\, and G
 rażyna Bacewicz. The Dover Quartet is composed of Joel Link and Bryan Lee
 \, violins\; Julianne Lee\, viola\; and Camden Shaw\, cello.\n\nFormed in 
 2008 at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia\, the Do
 ver Quartet performs more than 100 concerts annually and rose to internati
 onal prominence in 2013 after a historic sweep of all prizes at the Banff 
 International String Quartet Competition. All four musicians are graduates
  of the Curtis Institute and currently serve as faculty ensemble-in-reside
 nce. The quartet has received numerous additional honors\, including grand
  and first prizes at the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition\, prizes at th
 e Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition\, the Avery Fisher
  Career Grant\, Chamber Music America’s Cleveland Quartet Award\, and Li
 ncoln Center’s Hunt Family Award.\n\n \n\nABOUT THE DOVER QUARTET:\n\n
 • Joel Link\, first violinist\, was appointed concertmaster of The Cleve
 land Orchestra in May2025. An active soloist and chamber musician\, Link h
 as earned top prizes at numerous competitions\, including the Johansen Int
 ernational Competition in Washington\, D.C.\, and the Yehudi Menuhin Inter
 national Violin Competition in England\, where he was featured in The Stra
 d magazine.\n\n• Bryan Lee\, second violinist\, has performed as a soloi
 st with The Philadelphia Orchestra and the Delaware\, Lansdowne\, and Temp
 le University symphony orchestras\, among others. He has been awarded the 
 bronze medal at the Stulberg International String Competition and second p
 rize at the Kingsville Young Performers Competition. With the Dover Quarte
 t he won first prize and every special award at the Banff International St
 ring Quartet Competition in 2013 and the gold medal and grand prize in the
  Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition in 2010. He has been featured
  on NPR’s From the Top and has attended Ravinia’s Steans Music Institu
 te\, La Jolla Music Society’s Summerfest\, Music from Angel Fire\, Encor
 e School for Strings\, Sarasota Music Festival\, Music Academy of the West
 \, and the Perlman Music Program.\n\n• Julianne Lee\, violist\, has forg
 ed a remarkable career as both a violinist and violist. She also holds the
  assistant principal second violin position in the Boston Symphony Orchest
 ra and principal second violin in the Boston Pops. She has been a member o
 f the BSO violin section since 2006\, serving as acting assistant concertm
 aster from 2013 to 2015. From 2017 to 2019\, she was also the principal se
 cond violinist of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.\n\n• Camden Shaw\, cel
 list\, has appeared with the ensemble in performances all over the world t
 o great acclaim. Mr. Shaw has collaborated in chamber music with such reno
 wned artists as Daniel Hope\, Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg\, and the late Leon
  Fleischer\, and maintains an active career as a soloist. Highlights from 
 recent seasons include a performance of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto\, Op
 . 56\, with the Artosphere Festival Orchestra\, where Shaw held the princi
 pal chair until May 2024\, and the release of his solo album by Unipheye M
 usic\, which was met with critical praise.
